At United Physical Therapy we offer professional gait analysis that may include treadmill digital video media.  We observe our clients running or walking and record their movements digitally. We can then instantly review the findings, frame by frame.  The views utilized are from the front, back and side.

This enables analysis of dynamic biomechanics of the feet, ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, lumbar spine, trunk, and upper body.  The purpose is to optimize efficiency of movement and establish relationships between biomechanics and injury.  The analysis results in treatment to address technique, weaknesses, tightness, or other dysfunctions.

On request, we can transfer the recording to your VHS tape for you to take with you. Just bring a tape with you to your session.  We have had fantastic feedback from our clients on the valuable information from this analysis technique.  It can be part of your physical therapy assessment or can be done independent of other treatment.
